Can I use _____ instead of _____?
Many ingredients we use can easily be substituted by more common ingredients.
Oat, buckwheat, or quinoa flour
Melted coconut oil
Softened coconut oil
Maple syrup, coconut nectar
Pink Himalayan sea salt
Raw macadamia nuts (blended into a cream)
Spelt, all-purpose, or whole wheat flour
Any liquid vegetable oil, or melted butter
Sucanat or brown sugar
Table salt or sea salt
Not all recipes have been tested using the above substitutions so we cannot guarantee the results will be identical. Notes will be made on the recipe if we recommend specific substitutions. Using the substitutions from above may change the dietary restriction of the recipe. If you do try the recipe with a substitution, please let us know via comment how it went as it may be helpful to other readers.
